Aaron Brown ‘13
Aaron is a 2013 graduate of the University of North Georgia, earning a Bachelor’s of Science in political science. While at UNG, he was a platoon leader in Bravo Company, a member of Pi Sigma Alpha (political science honors society), a fellow for the Center for the Study of the Presidency and Congress, and UNG’s representative to the Student Conference on U.S Affairs at West Point. His senior thesis received top award at the UNG Annual Research Conference for research in political science and received publication.
Following graduation, he married his wife, Caitlin (UNG class of 2014, Nursing) and moved to the Washington D.C. beltway, where he worked on and managed fundraising and communications for policy advocacy organizations and was involved in federal- and state-wide elections. Following a move back to Georgia, he continues lead fundraising strategy and execution for organizations dedicated to advancing ideas and policies grounded in American principles. Aaron is also the founder and principal of Brown Thrasher Strategies, which provides strategic advising to policy think tanks, Political Action Committees, and advocacy organizations both in Georgia and nationwide. His firm also helped develop a software platform to drive more effective strategic planning for fundraisers.
Aaron serves as a member of UNG’s Corps Advisory Council—and was the youngest member of the Corps Advisory Council at the time of his selection. He and his wife are raising three young boys who they hope will all be cadets at UNG in the future.
