Sydney B. Bezely (Coursey), a native of Dahlonega, Georgia, is an Artificial Intelligence and Data Strategy Executive whose career spans defense, logistics, and commercial sectors. She currently serves as the Deputy Chief Data Officer and Machine Learning Engineer for the U.S. Army Operational Test Command (OTC), where she plays a pivotal role in bringing the most advanced technologies to America’s soldiers. At OTC, Sydney leads initiatives to modernize data use and integrate artificial intelligence into mission-critical decision-making.

Her professional journey began as an Operations Officer in the U.S. Army, where she developed predictive models and readiness tools to support force deployment cycles. Following her military service, Sydney advanced into leadership roles at Walmart and McLane Company, applying data-driven solutions to large-scale retail and logistics operations before stepping into her current role with OTC. Across each position, she has remained dedicated to bridging emerging technologies with practical outcomes.

Sydney is pursuing her Doctor of Engineering in Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence at The George Washington University, building on her Master of Science in Data Science from Eastern University, her Master of Arts in Digital Marketing and Data Analysis from Emerson College, and her Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing from the University of North Georgia. She is also a proud military spouse to her husband, active-duty Physician Assistant Collin Bezely, whom she met while completing her education in the Corps of Cadets at UNG. Together they are raising two daughters, Louisa and Lottie, who remain her greatest inspiration. Sydney strives to be a role model for young women in STEM, especially for her daughters, who she hopes will grow up inspired by her example of perseverance, leadership, and innovation.
